RANSOM RIGGS BOOK SIGNING

7:40 AM

The NBS book signing was held at Glorietta last April 26 at 2pm. Both I and Julia were very much excited to get our books signed. I only got Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar children while Julia got 4 books for Tahereh Mafi to sign.

This was also an opportunity for me to travel to Makati without adult supervision for the first time. Although the method of trains are very familiar to me, I must admit that I was a little lost with my ways with the MRT. Julia on the other hand had already experienced the MRT railway so I could say it was a bit easier for me.

I haven't really explored Makati properly yet because I've only been to Makati for school field trip purposes in which I had to always be in my group.

When I got to Makati I could say that I was in awe. I even took a picture of the view coming down the stairs of the Ayala station.

Going in Glorietta, we finally found the queue for the book signing. And it was agonizingly long. That I ended up to be person number 1,100 and Julia was 1,103 to get their book signed.

We waited for 2pm to hit to finally see the lovely authors. But they were kinda late. An interview was held before the signing. Questions about Tahereh and Ransom's love life was discussed as well as all of their novels turned into movies and their trip in our country.

I just love how Tahereh's personality brightens up the place. She's like a ray of sunshine being so darn lovely and all.

When signing started the early birds were announced first and the earliest to register was 1:00 something am. AM. Like whoa.

The signing system was by 20s (1-20, 21-40 etc.) So we had loads of time to explore the mall and buy new sunnies. I'm going to post a whole different post about my new sunglasses.

We ended up until like 8:00 pm when we got to our turn. I was very excited for my book to be signed and it was all so fast. It was sign, click and leave. It was half a minute long and hours of waiting. But I could say that it was worth it.

I love how Ransom's marker was silver. And he looked a bit tired in the picture I mean I would too after signing hundreds books

Before school starts I and Julia are planning to really explore Makati this time.
