Bullet Journal...na naman
6:41 AM
If you are new to the term Bullet Journal well it’s
basically a notebook where you write the things you need to do for the day or
month in a VERY organized manner consisting of key symbols. Basically it’s a
very maarte to do list.
This is the second time I get to do a bullet journal. The
first one sucked, it was very boring that I got tired of it eventually. This
time I’ve done my research and made my journal colourful and fun and a lot of work. But it’s worth it!
If you decide to make yourself a bullet journal, here’s
how you get started.
1. Get a notebook. Other bullet journalists use Muji, Moleskine and that
German brand that’s difficult to read and spell (Leucthrum basta parang ganyan). You could use those if you got the money but
if you’re poor like me and don’t want to spend big bucks on a notebook then buy
a Cattleya one. I bought a Limelight notebook because it’s thicker but
apparently the paper is thin so I’m basically just working with it.
2. Personalize
the cover. If you don’t want to see the brand of the notebook you don’t
have to suffer through it. You can cover it up. You could buy wrapping paper,
fabric or make a collage. I’ve covered my notebook with bond paper and made a
collage in front then I covered it in plastic cover. Make it yours.
3. Research. You need to know what you want and don’t want in your
journal. Do you want it to be minimalistic? Do you want it to be cute? Do you
want it to be super organized? It’s yours! What’s fun about this is that there
are no boundaries.
4. Make a key system. You’ll need this to identify what tasks have you done,
will do, cancelled or delayed. It’ll make everything easier.
5. Make a calendar for
the year. Totally up to you, this part
is optional. This is really helpful for monthly plans. Also I’ve put in a
monthly color coded system in which every month has an assigned color. I color
the side of the page which I have already filled up for those months it will
help me locate monthly logs easier in the future. For example for the month of
June it’s red. The next will be orange for July I’ll put the color a bit lower
so that when you look at it from afar it will create a rainbow staircase. Do
you get it? I feel like you’re smart.
6. Make a monthly log. This is your calendar for the month. You could mark
events and deadlines. You could put in monthly tasks as well.
7. Make a daily log. The things you need to do for the day. You mark them up
throughout the day which would really help you be productive. Kasi tatamarin ka na paulit-ulit mong
susulat araw araw kung di mo ginawa.
8. Extras. Optional as well. Few extra pages to keep your journal
personalized and handy.(because trust me you’ll be taking it everywhere). Here
are some ideas:
·
Class Schedule
·
Needs & Wants
·
Dream Journal
·
Habit Tracker (track how
often do you workout or sleep early)
·
Collage of your
monthly spirit animal right now mine is
Alice from How To Be Single.
9. Design. Still totally optional. I’ve put border designs on top of
every page to keep it fancy. You could also work with colored pens,
highlighters, stickers or washi tape if you wish. I’ve put in some sticker tabs
to help me locate much faster on what page I’m in.
Here are some inspirations from other Bullet Journals.
Hope this inspires you to create your own bullet journal.
At the end of the day, it’s just a notebook. Don’t stress yourself if it’s not
perfect.
